Sesame Turnips and Carrots

Ingredients
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
2 medium turnips, cut into ¼-inch cubes
2 medium carrots, cut into ¼-inch cubes
⅛ teaspoon salt
4 cloves garlic, minced or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 Tablespoons sesame seeds
3 Tablespoons honey or brown sugar (see Notes)
Directions
- Wash hands with soap and water.
- Rinse or scrub fresh vegetables under running water before preparing.
- In a skillet on medium-high heat, add oil and sauté turnips, carrots and salt until vegetables begin to soften. Stir in garlic and sesame seeds and cook until vegetables begin to brown.
- Stir in honey. Serve warm.
- Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.
Notes
- Honey is not recommended for children under 1 year old.
