I taught this recipe for Kids in the Kitchen remote delivery to middle school students (21 families). They all liked it very much.

They were given the ingredients to make it, and in the next class a girl commented: "The recipe went well! It also inspired me to make a breakfast on Sunday all by myself and it was really good! :D." A boy said, "they (his parents) said it was better than theirs."

I would like to share some recipes with my SNAP participants as a PDF and I cannot figure out how to do that.  Any suggestions?

That is great to hear!  For sure you can email food.hero@oregonstate.edu and we can get that to you right away.  And here are some steps if you want to DIY.  This is such a great recipe for kids so great you chose this one!

  1. You can click on "Print Color"; a button under the recipe photo.
  2. If you happen to see a header or footer you do not want or other web data on the print screen, you can search online for "how to remove headers and footers when printing".  That is browser specific.
  3. Then when your print screen comes up you can click "print as PDF".

Have enjoyed preparing this recipe in classrooms with 4th and 5th grade students, they think it is fantastic and many have tried it at home with their families.  Extra delicious with diced fresh apples on top.

Great recipe.  I used skim milk for this recipe and a "no sugar added" applesauce.  We topped the french toast with either the applesauce or a low-fat vanilla yogurt and finished with a sprinkle of cinnamon.  Delicious!
