Fresh cranberries are bland but tart. They are generally added to recipes, not eaten alone. They are also available as frozen berries.

❁ Look for fresh kale with dark green, small to medium leaves.
❁ Avoid wilted or discolored brown or yellow leaves.
❁ Kale is available all year. Because it grows well in cooler months it is often available fresh when other produce is not.
✿ Peaches are a tasty snack eaten whole, chopped, or sliced.
✿ Add cut peaches to yogurt, cold cereal, or oatmeal to add sweetness and flavor.
✿ Peaches can be mixed into the batter of pancakes, waffles, muffins, or bread.
1. Sort and rinse the berries.
2. Allow to air dry or pat gently with paper towels to remove surface moisture.
3. Spread in a single layer on flat pans or baking sheets. Freeze until firm.
