1 cup uncooked old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup low-fat yogurt
½ cup nonfat or 1% milk
½ cup berries, fresh or frozen
½ cup chopped apple (about 1/3 a medium apple [3” diameter])


1 taza de hojuelas de avena tradicional sin cocer
1 taza de yogur bajo en grasa
½ taza de leche sin grasa o de 1%
½ taza de arándanos, frescas o congeladas
½ taza de trocitos de manzana (aproximadamente 1/3 manzana mediana [3” de diámetro])


  1. In a medium bowl, mix oats, yogurt and milk.
  2. Add the fruit now or add just before eating.
  3. Cover and refrigerate oatmeal mixture for 6-12 hours.  For grab-and-go breakfasts, place scoops of mixture in small dishes or spoon into small containers with lids.
  4. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.


  1. En un tazón mediano, mezcle la avena, el yogur y la leche.
  2. Añada la fruta ahora o justo antes de comer.
  3. Cubra y refrigere la mezcla de avena de 6 a 12 horas.  Para desayunos para llevar, sirva cucharadas de la mezcla en platos pequeños o sirva en recipientes pequeños con tapas.
  4. Refrigere lo que sobra durante las siguientes 2 horas.
